Water:
Distilled, Reverse Osmosis, Rain or water with TDS under 100.
Keep media moist, the pot can sit in water so as to need little maintenance.
Light:
High light, these plants should receive around 8+ hours of direct sunlight.
Leaves should stand straight up, be fully inflated and be strong. If they do not have this they may not be receiving enough light. Purpurea and psittacina obviously won't have upright pitchers as they grow outward.
Temp:
These plants are temperate, they stay outside during winter time as long as temps are over 25F. During winter they will go dormant, if you live in a harsh frozen zone, put them in a covered area such as a basement and bring them back out when it warms up a little.
Media:
Pure Long Fiber Sphagnum Moss (LFSM), LFSM + Perlite or Peat + Perlite.
I prefer peat + perlite for my Sarracenia due to large pot sizes as most get large.
